Pandemic EBT: Emergency School Meals Program

Does your child receive free or reduced price school meals or does your child's school provide all meals free? Children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits through Pandemic EBT (P-EBT): Emergency School Lunch Program, or P-EBT benefits. P-EBT benefits help families in Washington buy food when school is closed.

Apply for P-EBT by visiting WashingtonConnection.org or by calling 877-501-2233. Applications for P-EBT must be completed by August 31, 2020 or before the start of the 2020-21 school year — whichever is later.

    SPS School Sites

The district has 26 schools throughout the city currently serving as a hub for student meal support during the summer. These schools provide sack breakfasts and lunches prepared by our central kitchen at school sites for all SPS students Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All sites will be closed July 3 and July 6.

Reheatable Meals by FareStart: Monday through Friday FareStart is providing reheatable prepared meals available for all families to pick up at these school sites.

Weekend Student Meal Support: Meal support for weekends, provided by the Backpack Brigade and Food For Schools, provides non-perishable food items such as canned goods, snacks, juice, etc., is available for all families in need to pick up on Fridays.

How to Pick Up Student Meals

    • School site locations and specific directions for each site are provided in the tabs below.
    • If you need ADA accessibility support, staff are available to provide access.
    • Students and families can not stay at the school to eat them because of social distancing guidance from state and local health agencies.
    • All students can pick up meals at these sites. Parents, and guardians may pick up meals for students. Students do not need to be in attendance.
    • If an adult is delivering to non-family members in the community and needs more than 10 meals, they should have an agency badge, be Seattle Public Schools staff, or provide evidence that they are vouched for by Seattle Public Schools staff.

    Student Meals by Bus

The district provides student meals by bus Monday through Friday throughout Seattle this summer except for July 3 and July 6. However, some routes have been canceled or revised. Those changes will take effect July 1. Please refer to our bus route maps and schedule online to determine the timing of the route or the school closest to your family. Bus route maps and schedules are provided in the tabs below.
