    SPS is Celebrating our Teachers

Seattle Public Schools appreciates everything our great teachers do each and every day in their classrooms. So, this year, we are celebrating twice as much and twice as long.

Officially, Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated the first FULL week of May. This year that week is May 7-12.

Many of our Parent-Teacher-Student-Associations (PTSA's) and schools are celebrating THIS week (May 1-5).

We all know, when it comes to celebrating our teachers, we can't celebrate and say thank you enough. Throughout the next couple of weeks, SPS will be sharing our appreciation on the district's Facebook and Twitter pages. Join the conversation using #ThankATeacher.

We would also love to hear from you about your favorite teacher memory or how a district teacher has made a positive impact on your child and family.

Here is a link to a website we have set up where you can share your thoughts, videos, photos, etc.

Here are some resources to help you celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day and Teacher Appreciation Week.
