    Franklin students perform for the Power Justice Freedom Summit

    Franklin High students got a surprise visit from well-known rapper, Lupe Fiasco, Wednesday, as the school held their eighth annual Power Justice Freedom Summit in celebration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

    Fiasco performed for students and staff while author, radio and television personality, Dr. James B. Peterson, offered inspirational words.

    More than 200-students also sang, danced, performed and took part in workshops focused on cultural themes that were inspired by the late Dr. King’s speech, I have a dream.
