Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

This video explains the operation of the Medronics LifePak model of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) that have been distributed to Seattle Public Schools (including the John Stanford Center.)

In the event of a medical emergency, 911 should be called and AEDs should be part of emergency response equipment brought to the scene. The AEDs have voice prompts and provide step-by-step instructions for proper operation. Be sure to follow voice prompt instructions to ensure maximum effectiveness and safety of victim, rescuer and bystanders.
