    Growth Boundaries Implementation

Boundary changes are scheduled to be implemented at Maple Elementary, Van Asselt Elementary, and Wing Luke Elementary for the 2020-21 school year. These changes were approved by the Seattle School Board as part of the 2013 Growth Boundaries Project. At that time, the School Board directed Enrollment Planning to work with the southeast community to review these changes before implementation.

At the direction of the School Board, the Enrollment Planning team is reviewing these approved boundaries as well as two other southeast Seattle elementary schools: Dearborn Park International Elementary and Kimball Elementary.

Because the attendance area boundaries for Mercer Middle School, Washington Middle School, and Aki Kurose Middle School correspond to the boundaries of the feeder elementary schools, changes to elementary school boundaries would be likely to also change the middle school boundaries. These are the only middle school boundary changes currently under consideration for Kurose and Mercer.

Please visit the Southeast Elementary Boundary Changes page for more details.
