On September 20, 2018, John Krull presented the Information Technology segment of the Buildings Excellence Capital Levy (BEX V) to the Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC).  Mr. Krull highlighted the District's goals and how technology was in direct alignment of achieving them through three key supports: Infrastructure, District Systems and Data and Student Learning.

Mr. Krull noted prior community outreach citing work sessions with the School Board, language specific focus groups and community meetings held out at schools including Meany Middle School and Roosevelt High School.  Mr. Krull stressed that the feedback gathered through these outreach efforts was driving project prioritization before outlining the funding the Capital Levy provided for Technology.

After presenting the proposed student learning plan and infrastructure modernization projects, Mr. Krull concluded the presentation by emphasizing the proposals were brought forward under the direction of the Board Guiding Principles: Equity, Health, Safety and Security, Educational Adequacy, Building conditions and Capacity.
