    In order to be compliant with the Children’s Internet Protection Act and School Board policy, our school district maintains a web filter on both wired and wireless networks.

    In general the filter blocks or allows by category. Library Services works with a group of librarians to determine which categories should be allowed and blocked.

    What do I need to do to get this service?

    This service is automatic for all District computers and mobile devices, including technology brought from home that connects to the SPS wireless networks. Please note that any devices brought onto campus by students that access digital cellular networks cannot be filtered by our District.

    What is included?

    This service provides filtering of inappropriate content.

    When is support for the service available?

    For support with the District filter, please contact your local school office; they will then route the issue to the appropriate team/department depending on the nature of the problem.

    How long does it take to get the service?

    This service is automatically available and does not need to be requested.

    How do I change or stop the service?

    The web filter service cannot be changed or stopped.

    How much does the service cost?

    There is no charge to our customers for this service.
