    Description

Schoology is Seattle Public Schools’ Learning Management System (LMS). Like our previous teacher pages in School Fusion, teachers may post assignments, messages and calendar items, but Schoology offers much more. It is also a place for staff and students to collaborate, take classes and share resources.

What do I need to do to get this service?

Schoology is available to students and families in grades 1-12 and all District staff. Teacher use is optional. If a student’s teacher chooses to use Schoology, parents and guardians can log in to monitor assignments and view resources.

    • Staff will use the same username and password that they use to log on to their computer and email; add @seattleschools.org at the end of the username to log in to Schoology. To access the site go to the Schoology LMS page or click on the Teacher Portal link at the top of any District webpage.

    • Students will be registered automatically to their teachers’ courses, and will log on with their school username and password; add @seattleschools.org at the end of the username to log in to Schoology. To access the site go to the Schoology LMS page or Student Portal at the top of any District webpage.

    • Parents and Guardians must first sign up through their Source accounts (accessible through Student Portal on the Seattle Public Schools website). To access the site after signing up, go to the Student Portal or the  Schoology LMS page.

    What is included?

Access to Schoology provides a familiar social media type interface that allows you to connect to SPS groups, courses and resources that are relevant to you.

When is support for the service available?

Resources for support including guides, FAQs, app downloads and, for teachers, a Schoology resource group, are all available 24/7 online. Go to the Schoology LMS page to find out more.

How long does it take to get the service?

Access is automatic based on the criteria above. Any changes made to classes, active status, etc., in PowerSchool will be reflected in Schoology the next business day.

How do I change or stop the service?

How much does the service cost?

There is no charge to staff, students or families for Schoology access.

    Documentation

Help documents can be found on the Schoology LMS page.
