Student ArtworkI wanted to do something simple for the photos, since all of the other photos of the school seemed very common, or in the same place every time. So, I went for a different approach. In my piece, I wanted to show how simple a large idea like “school” can be. I chose photography because I feel like I can capture ideas or moments better, with more freedom.

Student ArtworkThis photo was taken in South Africa during a safari throughout Kruger national park. Throughout the trip I transitioned from simply filming the animals to capturing close up portraits of the animals. My camera’s zoom capability gave my family and friends an even better look at the beauty and complexity of the animals. I made sure to increase the contrast, this spotlighted the leopards colors and showed imperfections in its fur.
