    Dear Board of Directors:

    Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the position of District VII School Board Director and for taking the time to review my resume. I am an experienced urban and hands-on culturally responsive Instructional Leader that cares deeply about quality education and success for ALL students and educational professionals.

    I would like to use my skills to assist the Board in problem-solving issues that plague our educational system today. I hold a B.A. in French, M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a M.Ed. in Leadership and Policy Studies through the Danforth Educational Leadership Program at the University of Washington.

    I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students of various abilities, their families, staff, and community while filling the positions of Teacher, House Administrator, Assistant Principal, and Interim Principal. It is and always has been my passion and purpose to ensure that every student in every classroom receives an equitable and excellent education by caring staff that addresses their individual needs, and that each student experiences academic, social and emotional growth and success.

    My passion is to improve schools and the educational experience for our students, staff, families, and community. And, it is my desire to bring positive change and attainable solutions to existing challenges. My vision for the Seattle Public School District is 100% of students experiencing social, emotional, and academic growth, discovering their gifts and talents, and realizing their dreams with success beyond their high school years as global citizens.
