Culturally Centered Family Engagement Training Series

    April 23 - June 11 2019
    Tuesdays, 6 until 8 p.m.
    South Lake High School

We invite Seattle families of color and families raising children of color to participate in our family engagement program. This program is especially designed for families who have traditionally been marginalized and underrepresented in the education system, policies and decisions that impact the education and well-being of their children.

Learn how to have effective two-way communication with your children about academics and their school experience as well as techniques to support them in advocating for their education.

    Do you want to know:

    • What your child is learning in school and how you can help them at any grade?
    • How your child is really doing in school based on standards and indicators?
    • How to navigate the education system?
    • Where to find the available resources to help your child succeed?

If you answered “yes” to the questions above, please join the Washington State NAACP, Seattle Council PTSA, and Seattle Public Schools to close the belief gap during these trainings and increase the voice of families of color.

Open the Culturally Centered Family Engagement Training flyer for details and contact information.
