Student school assignments for 2020-21 school year

The student assignment lookup tool, which reflects 2020-21 open enrollment results, is now available. Each student who receives a new assignment through open enrollment will also be emailed a result letter the same day and students who do not have an email on file will be mailed a result letter arriving this week. Waitlist moves will continue through August 31. School choice applications are accepted through May 31.

View Current and Next Year Assignment Information

Using the District Website: Visit the assignment lookup tool webpage and enter your student's identification number and birth date. Go to the Assignment Lookup Tool webpage

Using the Source: Visit the Source (ps.seattleschools.org) and click "school information" menu link.

If you have challenges accessing your student's assignment, please contact Admissions at 206-252-0760.

Students are initially assigned to a designated attendance area school based on their home address, but may apply to attend a different school or program through the School Choice process. Students who are currently attending an option school or a different attendance area school through School Choice remain at that school through the highest grade served.

    Open Enrollment Results

The results of Open Enrollment are typically available on the Assignment Lookup Tool in mid-April.

Submitting a school choice form does not guarantee a choice assignment. If more students apply for a school during Open Enrollment than seats are available, tiebreakers are used to make assignments. More information about tiebreakers is on the Open Enrollment webpage.
