Native Knowledge 360 - SPS High School Social Studies Teacher Workshop
    Posted on 11/26/2018

    Instead of...

a student encountering isolated texts and incomplete narratives that present Indigenous Peoples as largely confined within a pre-1900 context,

    Imagine if...

students and teachers immerse themselves in classroom - ready resources that are diverse in content and format.

NK 360°'s groundbreaking new online initiative is robust, relevant, vigorous, and aligned. In this Seattle Public Schools workshop, participants will learn about tribes in Washington State, explore the state mandated curriculum called Since Time Immemorial: Tribal Sovereignty in Washington State, explore NK 360°'s four digital modules, and have time to collaborate and plan with colleagues. Each module includes digital inquiry lessons, interactives, teaching posters, websites, and videos help teachers and students recognize the complex and robust histories, cultures, and contemporary lives of American Indians.
