Summer Bridge Program for students moving from 5th grade to 6th grade prepares students entering middle school next year that will focus on developing the skills and mindset necessary for this transition.

Sign up now for the BRIDGE program: BRIDGE REGISTRATION FORM

Summer Bridge is a 4-week asynchronous program that students can participate in in addition to an academic summer program. Below are the weekly social emotional lessons (SEL) that will be offered on Schoology as recorded lessons that students can view on their own time:

    SEL WEEKLY TOPICS (4 WEEKS)

    1. Identity
    2. Feelings
    3. Empathy
    4. Relationships

Each lesson will include prompts that will help students reflect on concepts discussed as well as an asynchronous activity posted in their Schoology account for Summer Bridge.

In addition, every Thursday at 4pm, students will have the opportunity to attend a Live Microsoft Meeting Event, which will include a social-emotional check-in, an overview of the weekly SEL, and games and activities for middle school related skills as well as an opportunity to interact with fellow future 6th graders:

Live Event Week 1: Time Management

    Live Event Week 2: Self-Care

    Live Event Week 3: Organization

Live Event Week 4: Q&A with middle school counselors
