Executive Director of Schools Support Team 5

    Sarah Pritchett

Sarah Pritchett has served the students and families of Seattle Public Schools since 1993, leaving only briefly to work as an assistant principal in Lake Washington School District.  In addition to serving as the Executive Director of Schools for the Central region of Seattle Public Schools for the past four years, Sarah also served as the Principal of McClure Middle School, Assistant Principal of Rose Hill Junior High, House Administrator at Mercer Middle School and as a classroom teacher at Sharples Alternative School.

Sarah is part of a team of five executive directors of schools, who support principals’ instructional leadership in order to increase student achievement and close opportunity gaps. This includes using data to monitor school progress, coordinating professional development, one-on-one coaching, principal evaluations, and conducting frequent learning walks through school buildings to ensure quality instruction. Together, they supervise and support more than 100 principals.  Beginning this fall, Sarah, along with Executive Director Jon Halfaker will support all of the middle schools and high schools in Seattle Public Schools.

Sarah earned a BA in psychology at Washington State University, a M.A. Ed and Administrative Certification at Western Washington University, and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Washington.
