    Nutrition Services Policies Task Force

An important strategy for eliminating opportunity gaps is ensuring that each and every student is well nourished so they can focus on learning.

The district has several policies and procedures that need to be aligned, including the topics of food service, the breakfast and lunch program, the free and reduced price meals programs, meals for private students, as well as special programs and school functions.

    Role of the Task Force

The task force will provide community voice to the process as the superintendent revises several related policies and procedures that align with Policy No. 3405, Student Wellness, adopted by the School Board in October 2015. Read the task force charter.

    Family and Community Representation

Our goal is for the task force to include family and community members who represent the diversity of Seattle Public Schools and who can provide valuable insight for the Nutrition Services Policies Task Force. Click here to view task force membership. pdf icon
