STUDENT GOVERNMENT: ASB & GRADUATING CLASSES
|
|
The ASB officers oversee the total activity program and plan events
for all students, regardless of their graduating year. this group
is overseen by Pat Jewell, the Activity Coordinator.
Each
graduating class has its own set of officers and an advisor. The
current ones are:
- Class of
2007 - Ms. Hering, Room 231
- Class of
2008 - Ms. McCarthy, Room 219
- Class of
2009 - Mr. Codling, Room 103
- Class of
2010 - Yet to be found.
Each set of
officers, advisor and members of the Class plan and sponsor a variety
of activities for their Class. Additionally, each class sponsors
one dance for the total student body: The Juniors always have the
Winter Ball, the Sophomores the last dance of the year, the Freshmen
(with ASB help) the Tolo, and the Seniors Homecoming. If a student
is not an officer, they are still encouraged to be involved in planning
activities for their Class - the officers can't do it alone!
Elections for
all ASB and Class offices (except incoming freshmen) are held in
the spring. To run, a student must be on track for graduation by
credit and have a minimum of a 2.5 accumulative GPA.
