A Day in the Life of Coco Harlan

I will be telling you a bit about...

Food- Well, American food is well known for being fatty. Between the burgers, fries and shakes, are food is full of fat. But sometimes you get hooked, me, myself and I have. My favorite food consists of chips and soda. But I also like french food. I like a lot of types of French salads and I also like salami. Some if my favorite places to eat are Daniell's Broiler and Pagliacci. I tend to eat out once a week, but only for meal.

Clothing- Well, I am not much into brands like Abecrombie and Fitch and stuff like that. I do like brands like American Eagle Outfitters, North Face and Green Dog. I like to be more casaual than most people. I where hodie sweatshirts, jeans, t-shirts and usually converse shoes. I am not a make up person, but most people age aren't. I tend to not care much of my appearance because I don't feel like I need to look like something I'm not.

Fun-Well, I do a lot of things for fun. I do two sports. I do swimming and track. Some other activities I do are playing the piano and silk painting. Which is painting with ink on silk. I also like to hang out with my friends. We sometimes go up to parks as a group or we just hang out, eat junkfood and watch movies. With my family I usually go on walks with them, or we go to the movies, or we go on bike rides.

School- I go to Whitman Middle School. At Whitman we have many classes that you can take, but as a sixth grader, you're limited to what classes you can take. At my school I take Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies. The two other classes I take are called Electives. The electives that I've taken this year are Unified Arts, Occupations, P.E. and World Languages. Unified Arts is a rotation that taches you art, music appritiation and health. Occupations is where you learn how to touch type on computers and how to make websites and thnigs like that. P.E. is physical education and in World Languages yo can learn how to speak Japanese, French and Spanish.

Home- I have two homes. I live with my mom in one house and with my dad in the another house. My mom lives by lake and my dad lives by the University of Washington and also by a lake. My dad lives in a average size house with a HUGE yard. My mom lives in a large house with a extremely nice garden. I have two pets along with my mom and dad. At my dad's I have a gray cat that has big, green eyes. At my mom's I am soon to have a dog, she is a corgi. Anyway, I my house's oth consist of the usual color, white. Both the rooms at my houses are white. But soon I plan to paint the room at my dad's lime green and light pink.

My Neighborhood- Well, my mom's neighborhood is a very nice neighborhood. It is surrounded by big and tall houses and it is a cozy area. It has it's own little avenue called Madison Avenue and it borders a lake called Lake Washington. It is the dog neighborhood of Seattle. My dad lives in a place called Greenlake. Well, actually he lives between two neighborhoods. In a three block radius we have 180 kids. It is a nice neighborhood, that is lived in a by a lot if families. I like both of my neighborhoods.

One of my favorite shows is The Simpsons. If I compared myself to one of the characters I would be Lisa. Actually I don't play the saxophone, but still... Sometimes I feel like this character. I can feel overworked and I pace around like this when my brain just goes blank. Yet, in the end I mostly make the best of it. This usually involves eating ice cream and watching TV.

I put this picture here because I am on the track team at my school. Actually, this is our team logo, Road Runner. We practice twice a week and we compete in four meets. In a meet we run against other Seattle schools. We have a fifth meet where the four top sprinters on the team run. All the distance runners get to run in this meet, though. Me, myself, I am a sprinter. I hope to compete in the fifth meet. I probably won't though because the eigth graders are the fastest and us sixth graders don't even stand a chance. Yet, sometimes I feel like this, energetic and happy. I feel like this when I'm told we're going shopping for clothes or music. Sometimes, I feel like this when I'm hanging out with my friends. Sure, it makes me completely obnoxious, but since I'm not trying to be, people live with it.
