David Patneaude, a nationally known author spoke to our third graders on Tuesday, October 21st. He spoke about the books he has written and shared some slides that illustrated his life as an author.

David also worked with a small group of students who love to write. He gave them some tips for getting started writing, and they also wrote a bit and shared the beginnings of their pieces.

Students acted out the synopsis of David's book, Someone Was Watching.

David talked about the Seven C's of writing. He explained that these elements are in good stories. They are content, characters, conflict, choices, change, connection, and compression.
