Seattle Public Schools passed a levy that provided workstations
classrooms to achieve five children to one PC ratio. Most of the
computers provided for View Ridge were iMacs, and the rest were
donated Windows based machines. As you will see throughout View
Ridge the computers are in place and in use. Many classes are using
the computers for internet research and word processing. Teachers
are implementing many other uses for the PCs in their classrooms.
Primary grade classroom student workstations... Apple iMacs brought
into the building with levy funds.
Intermediate grade classroom student workstations... Apple iMacs
brought into the building with levy funds.
Fifth grade classroom student workstations... Compaq PCs brought
into the building with levy funds.
In the fall of 2002 teachers' classroom workstations
were placed in classrooms. These computers gave teachers easy access
to their e-mail accounts and to district teacher tools.
