Authors Visit

.....Each year View Ridge is fortunate to have several authors and illustrators visit our school to talk to our students about their books. Their appearances are made possible by either All for Kids Books and Music or our PTA Enrichment Committee. Prior to each visit, students are introduced to the books the author has written or illustrated. The books are also available for the students to purchase and have autographed. Our students have met many wonderful authors over the years. They include Paul Owen Lewis, Janet Wong, Nina Laden, Gary Blackwood, Eoin Colfer, Lemony Snicket, Ken Mochizuki, David Patneaude, Janet Stevens, Karen Cushman, Gail Carson Levine, Suzanne Staples, David Shannon, Douglass Wood, Jennifer Holm, Derek Munson, and Jacqueline Wilson.

.....On October 5th, we met Ian Ogilvy, who recently published his first children's book, Measle and the Wrathmonk.

.....Mo Willems, a Caldecott Honor Award winner for his book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, was our guest on October 12th. He shared his newest book Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale and Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog.
