There have been a great wealth of talented Black Americans in Football. Two of the greatest were Jim Brown and Walter Payton.

Claim to fame:
 

Jim Brown rushed for a record-setting 12,312 yards during his nine-year career. That 1965 record stood for 19 years before being broken by Walter Payton.
   

Walter Payton

Claim to fame:
 

Walter Payton broke Jim Brown's 19-year career rushing record on October 7, 1977.
