Our school district gives us an excellent resource page that can be accessed at home.  Often our children go straight to Google for research information.   Google gives great results but they can be confusing and it can be difficult for children to sort-out which sites are the most helpful.   With these databases you know that they have had a filter applied to them already, they have been screened for use with children and for educational purposes.
