Current
Wish List for TCS - Can you help?
We
are all aware of the state and school district budget cuts to schools.
Due to these cuts, our school budget has become even more limited.
If you can help in any way to donate one of the items listed here,
our staff would be very appreciative! Any of these items can be
sent to the main desk at school. Please be sure to add the staff
person's name any item you send in. Thank you very much in advance
for your help and consideration!

Want
to get a gift for your student's teacher(s)? We have alternative
ideas! Your student's teachers would greatly appreciate any
gift for their classrooms, and to help you the
staff at The Center School does have a gift list. They are
generally small and easy to find. And if that wasn't enough,
you don't even have to wrap them. Just simply drop them off
at the front desk with a note telling who should receive your
gift.

We have set up an Amazon wish list of titles we are requesting
for our classroom library. Hopefully, this will help if
you are looking for titles to donate, but don't know where
to begin, or what will fit in. Parents can access the list
by going to Amazon.com and looking for the wish list titled
"Center School - 9/10 Humanities." We would love
single copies as well as small collections (5-6 copies of
the same text) for students to access when they are reading
in literature circles (similar to book groups). Of course,
families are always welcome to donate copies of a book that
may be a personal or family favorite! contact Christopher
Drajem (cdrajem@seattleschools.org
or 252-9867) with questions.

Eileen
Bullinger, TCS school nurse, would really like to have
some juice boxes and some snack crackers or granola
bars to give to kids who are hungry and have no money.
While it doesn't happen often (and she only knows about
it on days she's actually in the school!), she has been
spending her own money to get the kids some juice or whatever
when they need it. Thank you everyone, for helping!
Please
keep your contributions coming. This is one of the school's
most important areas you can donate too!
