Corporate Matching funds were received from Microsoft and United Way. Public Input: Tony Gomez spoke with representatives from Roosevelt and West Seattle High about their funding approval process. Wendy spoke to reps. from Ballard and Ingraham disbursement committees. After a review period, school PTA's meet 2-3 times a year to disburse funds. These meetings are held outside of the regular PTA meetings. Good communication to all constituents about the process of application and approval is important. Wendy handed out a form with suggestions for disbursement funding. Some schools give each department an funding request limit to minimize certain departments receiving more funding. All the PTA's track the amount of funding awarded to each department in their school. A suggestion
was made to create a Task Force to present a plan to the CSCA for the
funding approval process. Members will be: Andy Edwards, Christopher Drajem,
Dorothy Skans, Tony Gomez and Brian Vance. They will meet before the next
CSCA meeting to draft the proposal. New Business: Bob Moore - Selection of Nominating Committee for next year's CSCA Board needs to take place before elections can be held. We will discuss possible selection committee members at a future meeting. Reports Student Senate Report - Lauren gave the student report. Drama production is in full swing.
