Our Community Association - March News
DINE
OUT AT DUKES RESTAURANT is planned for Monday, March
26th at Duke's on Lake Union! Raise money to support our schools
by enjoying the company of other Center School students, parents
and their network of friends and family as we dine on Duke’s
famous clam chowder, steak, and seafood.
Your
dinner bill will generate a generous donation from Duke. A
percentage of all the night’s dinner hour revenue will
go to the school! Get the word out to fill the restaurant
with our friends and families of all ages! This is a delicious
and convenient way to support our students and their school.
We will also offer a raffle of Duke’s Chowder House
gift certificates – courtesy of Duke - for just one
dollar. Everyone who purchases ten tickets wins a free cup
of chowder!
NEW IDEA! For the first time there will be a special
6:30 seating for those who want to join a table to meet other
members of the school’s community. Arrive in time to
take a seat at a community table especially reserved for those
who would like to make new friends.
Duke's
Lake Union Chowder House is at the south end of Lake Union
in Chandler's Cove just off the Mercer Street exit to Interstate
5 - 901 Fairview Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109, 206 382-9963. Thank
you, Duke!
Volunteers
are needed to host(ess) this event by spending an hour greeting
diners the night of the event. If you have questions or wish
to help, contact Peter Wolf – Community Building Committee
and CSCA co-chair at 206-935-4153 or peterwolf@whidbey.com.
See you on the 26th.
TWO LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
The auction committee has received exciting news of support.
An anonymous donor has agreed to a 10% match of the net proceeds
of the auction. For example, if the auction clears $50,000
this gift will generate an additional donation of $5,000.
We thank this generous individual(s) for their support and
belief in our school.
At the same time, the Raynier Foundation has awarded the Center
School a grant of $15,000 to underwrite the auction. The Raynier
Foundation has been a long time believer in the Center School’s
integrated arts curriculum approach to education. We are once
again honored by their support of our mission.
