Personal and Professional History
I have happily worked at Sacajawea for quite a while. Before that I worked at the Experimental Education Unit at the University of Washington. I have three wonderful children.
Program Philosophy
The resource room provides support for children qualifying for specially designed instruction. Reading, math and writing are taught in a nurturing environment by a special education teacher. Children are seen daily, typically in thirty minute sessions. Parents are updated by trimester summaries. Students are supported by the support provided and the majority of the instruction remains in the general education classroom.
