School Staff C-SIP (School Improvement Plan) School Technology Plan P.T.A. Newsletter About Us

Principal's Corner

From the Desk of the Principal

Dear Roxhill Families,

The school year is well underway! It's hard to believe that November is upon us, and what a busy month this will be. Many thanks to all of you who support your child every day in a wide variety of ways. Working with your child every night on homework, volunteering in the classroom, attending one of our PTA meetings, and encouraging your child to be respectful and compassionate at school are all important ways we can work together to achieve our goal of developing great students and citizens.

The instruction of Math, Reading and Writing remains a primary focus for Roxhill students. We are continuing to work diligently to ensure ALL students at Roxhill make significant gains in these areas. They are intentionally differentiating their reading and math instruction so all students are engaged in their learning.

School Climate is also very important to us. Every child and adult deserves to feel cared for, welcomed and valued. We work hard to teach and model positive social skills, which will ultimately relate to active engagement in learning and a feeling of safety and respect in our school.

I look forward to seeing you at Parent Conferences this month! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk with me.

Roxhill Chant

We love our school, it is Roxhill.
There are lots of things to do:
Reading , Writing, Mathematics, PE, and Science, too.
Go, Roxhill!
Teachers help us to become smart,
But we know we must do our part.
So if you want a school that's really, really cool,
our Roxhill is the one!
R – O – X – H – I – L – L, we love Roxhill!

Roxhill Creed

I will strive for excellence everyday.
What I think, I can write, I can read, and I can say.
I will say “yes” to right, and “no” to wrong.
With others, I will try my best to get along.
Respect I'll give, respect I'll earn.
I know that I come to Roxhill to learn.
There are some things that no one can take from me –
my pride, my self-discipline, and my dignity.
So I will do my best to excel today and everyday
for I know that excellence is the Roxhill way.
