John Rogers is dedicated to helping all students succeed. Our devoted staff works diligently to differentiate instruction and curriculum to meet the needs of all students. Our students are challenged by our use of inquiry-based science, Accelerated Reader, Investigations Math, Storypath Social Studies and Accelerated Math to match the state Grade Level Expectations. Technology and the arts are integrated into curriculum to enrich student learning. Our commitment is to have all students meet or exceed standards. - The Kindergarten team at John Rogers is dedicated to building a solid foundation for every child’s education. Teachers recognize and nurture students’ individual strengths through positive classroom environments and cooperative learning opportunities.
- Teachers collaborate together to set curriculum, share materials and plan special projects and field trips. Students are engaged in daily literacy activities and hands-on math experiences as well as inquiry-based science, art and technology.
- Some kindergarten highlights include: field trips to a pumpkin farm, Woodland Park Zoo and various cultural plays; year-long swim lessons; 4th & 5th grade buddies; Winter Craft Day; and an end-of-the year family outing and potluck to Lang’s Horse and Pony Farm.
