Xaila H. Dufresne is the new Full Service Community Schools Success Coordinator based at Rainier Beach High School. As School Success Coordinator, Xaila will ensure the successful implementation of planning and services related to the Full Service Community Schools grant. She will accomplish this by coordinating educational, social and health support services, developing family and community partnerships, facilitating those relationships, and communicating progress of services.

Originally from the Bay Area, Xaila has lived in Seattle for the past four years. Since living in Seattle, Xaila has been an involved community member dedicated to issues of social justice. She is passionate about delivering culturally relevant services to youth and has been active in several social justice and community competency committees in the Seattle area.

Through the Full Services Community School grant, Xaila hopes to build a strong foundation of supportive services for Rainier Beach High School students and their families. She is committed to developing strong relationships with community partners, and strives to coordinate services with partners in order to meet both academic and non-academic needs of students at Rainier Beach High School.

Xaila has a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with concentrations in Ethnic and Women’s Studies and Government from Eastern Washington University. She is also currently in pursuit of a Master’s degree in School Counseling at Seattle University.
