We welcome parents to come by the Counseling Dept. It is better to call ahead for an appointment. Students with last names that begin A-G should contact Mr. Dan Jurdy at 252-6362 and last names that begin H-Z should contact Mrs. Escame at 252-6361.

The benefits of meeting your student's counselor are many. We can work together to make sure that your child's educational plans are in place so they can graduate on time and fulfill the requirements for their future educational plans.

The requirements for college bound students differ from students that want a high school diploma. There is a form available in the Counseling Department which shows all the requirements both for graduation and for students planning on entering a four year university. Grade point is extremely important. A 2.0 cum GPA and a core cum of 2.0 is required to graduate from high school. Core classes are science, language arts, math and social studies. College bound students who are seeking scholarships should strive to keep a 3.5 GPA if possible.

The graduation requirements for the Classes of 05, 06 and 07 are different than those for the Class of 08 and beyond. The WASL is mandatory to take for all graduates however, the class of 08 must pass all four sections in order to receive a high school diploma.

60 volunteer service learning hours are required for all students.
