Welcome to a brand new year at Olympic View! The opportunities for you to get involved are abundant and varied. Just take a gander at the following list of activities we have up our sleeves for the 07-08 school year. We’re excited to get our community back together for another spectacular school year!

2007-08 OV Activities

Parent Palooza ~ 9/5 This annual tradition brings old friends and new friends together on the first day of school. There’s a bit of information sharing by the PTA, Mr. Moynihan joins in on the fun and we even have coffee and amazingly yummy snacks. What better way to start out the school year! Come join in on this great O.V. tradition.

Movie Night ~ 9/15 Now this is a first! Jenna Brock’s mom and dad, Katie and Philip, are kind enough to donate their “big screen system” for a night under the stars. Movie to be announced soon. This is a school a fundraiser for our new playground. Refreshments will be available for purchase as well. More information to follow.

Mariners “Fan Appreciation Night” ~ 9/28 Last year one of our very own O.V. families won THE prize of the night! A trip for 2 to Mexico! Can you say “GRAND SLAM?!” So be on the lookout for the information coming home soon.

Fall Carnival ~ 10/6 YES! It’s back for it’s 2nd year. O.V.’s fabulous Fall Carnival. It promises to be ever better and bigger this year. ~if that’s possible?! ~ Come one—come all in your best costume. Wander the pumpkin patch, dance around the cake walk and throw rats in a toilet! Yep, your favorite teacher AND the principal have promised to return to the chilly waters of the dunk tank again. I can already smell the roasting corn and taste the fresh apple cider...ummm...ummmm...ummm!

Multi-Cultural Night ~ 11/09 This night is among one of the favorites at O.V. Our families are a wonderful group of diverse folks with many traditions. We gather this night to witness and celebrate with foods and music from around the world. Bring your family’s favorite dishes and celebrate and have a good time.

Poinsettia Sale ~ 12/07 This annual sale raises money for a variety of school based needs. Be sure to look for the order forms sometime in November ~ the plants are A-mazing ~ you will not be disappointed you ordered 2 or 3 or 4 or….
