STUDENT PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF AT OLYMPIC VIEW

In an attempt to maintain a safe and orderly environment and to minimize the impact we have on our neighbors, please read and adhere to the following pick-up and drop-off guidelines:

ALL STUDENTS
• Be sure to notify the school office of any changes in your child’s pick-up and drop-off routine. Without notification of a change from a parent, we will ask students to follow their regular dismissal procedure. It is best to send a note with your student with specific information. If you call to inform us of a change, please try to do so well in advance of the end of the school day.

• Finding parking here at school can be challenging. When parking your vehicle, please be sure not to park on our neighbor’s property or in ways that block or obstruct their driveways and mailboxes.

WALKERS & BIKE RIDERS
• Students who walk or ride to and from school are advised to do so in groups. Please review the Seattle School District's recommended walking routes for Olympic View.

• Please be sure that your child’s teacher knows that he or she will be walking or riding, and that your child understands how to get to and from school safely.

• Make sure your child knows his or her address and telephone number.

BUS RIDERS
• Students who ride a bus are dropped-off and picked-up on the south side of our playground (see “A” on above map)

PARENT PICK-UP VIA VEHICLE
• The pick-up and drop-off area is located on 95th outside of Kids’ Club. (See “B” on above map). Our safety patrol and school staff will assist with pick-up and drop-off. All students will be supervised while waiting for their ride.

• Parked and standing vehicles are not permitted in our bus load zone, our parking lot, or the paved area behind the school building (off 7th).

• Please do not ask your students to jaywalk across 95th. During drop-off and dismissal, it is very congested and views are obstructed. Please either use the parent pick-up/drop-off area or ask your child to use the crosswalks at 8th and 95th..

PARENT PICK-UP IN PERSON
• Please do not congregate in hallways or outside of classrooms. Parents who pick their children up in person may meet their child in one of three places:

1. On the playground by their room number (See “C” on above map)
2. Under the covered area by the front door of the school (See “D” on above map),
3. In the front hallway near the main office.
