Field Trips
Here are some possibilities we are tossing around so far this year:
• Fall- Maple Leaf Park –(coop games with 3rd grade buddy class)
• Early Winter- Puppet Theater / Children's Theater (literacy)
• Late Winter- Bowling (science - Balls and Ramps)
• Early Spring- New Art Museum (visual arts)
• Carkeek Park (science – Organisms)

We are not ‘married to these ideas’ and are open to new ideas. If you have any suggestions that you think we can’t refuse – try us out! (Thank you Hillary – “It takes a village…”)

Communication Home
We will send home a bi-weekly newsletter to fill you in on our current events. Every now and then, however, you will receive other notes from the classroom about imminent issues. Basically, keep your eye out for new kid mail from our class, the PTA or the office every day.

Meetings
If you have any thoughts or concerns that you would like to run by us that might take more than a few minutes, please schedule a meeting time with one or both of us. (We’re so charming!) In those transition times before and after school or during recess, we can be very busy preparing for the week. Thank you for your consideration!

Conferences
Please sign up for a scheduled time in November to meet and discuss your child’s individual progress. Conferences this year are Nov. 19th-21st. Children should attend the conference if at all possible. (Your children will not be attending school on those scheduled conference days.)
