“If a flower blooms once, it goes on blooming somewhere forever.  It blooms on for whoever has seen it blooming”

-Sounder, William H. Armstrong, 1969

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR FAMILIES AND PTA FOR PROVIDING A WEEK FULL OF APPRECIATION FOR NORTH BEACH STAFF.  IN MY MIND, THE FLOWERS WILL BLOOM A LIFETIME.

Did you know Seattle School District is holding a Data Fair for families at the John Stanford Center.  from May 26th - 29th, families in the Seattle School District will be able to enjoy the data boards and presentations they have created to show off the talents of our schools.  On May 28th, Barbara Pitchford and Laura Besser as well as Doug Reeves will speak about data on the 28th from 1-4.  These are our gurus of data that have been working with administrators this year.

So much is happening at North Beach these days that it is hard to keep track of everything.  This last month, our Journalists in Residence have been taking time to work with our younger students on headlines and such. Be sure to ask your students about what they have been learning from Larry and Fran.

The joy of seeing students coming into their own is one of the pleasures of being a principal.  This time of year really shows off all the learning that has taken place and students are so proud of what they have learned and who they have become.  I have to say it is one of the perks.

Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the wonderful week. It goes down as one of the best.

Freedom,

Joanne Bowers
