“True Friends never owe each other anything.”
The sun is out and the weather is warmer. I know it is just a trick to get us hoping for spring but I will enjoy it while I can.
Huge kudos to the families that helped organize and set up and clean up for the Sock Hop. It was well attended and a lot of FUN. Maybe we should have a Ball next year and teach all the students how to Waltz!!!
I feel a rhythm beginning here and it feels good. Things are starting to fall into place and it feels good not to always have something new I am learning each day. There is so much that goes on here in one day and this is exactly why I have always loved working in education; it is never boring!
There has been a request to remind our families that the hill behind the school is off limits to kids during and after school. In fact, I learned through a source that the trail that leads up the hill was replanted by many of our alumni volunteers to deter students from going up that way. As you know, with the rains, it is more likely that the soil and sand slides down if the greenery is not there to hold it up. So please talk to your students and remind them about the hill. I know the North Beach Alumni would like us to support their hard work.
Our tours continue this week and then we are through for the year. I suspect that we will once again have an incredible enrollment for next year. Thank you everyone who has helped with the tours. You have done a wonderful job of letting people know how great our school is.
Enjoy your break together. Read some, play some, laugh some and definitely do some math! We will see you all back here after break on February 25th.
Peace and love,
Joanne Bowers
