If you give the staff a piece of turkey they will ask for stuffing!  We hope you all have a wonderful holiday and enjoy the time with your family and friends.  If you are traveling, wishing you a safe journey.

As many of you know, we have had lice in the building.  This is common this time of year but not fun by any means.  Please take the time over the holiday to diligently check your Childs head for nits and/or lice.  If you see nits (white eggs that attach themselves to the hair and don’t flake off like dandruff) begin combing immediately. You can treat it with the over the counter Nix but combing every day for at least two weeks will guarantee that you are not reinfested.  Wash your coats, combs, brushes, sheets, linens, and hats, spray your car.  It is good to bag stuffed animals for 6 weeks and or throw them in the dryer.  Lavender oil, mayonnaise, hair dryer’s bandanas all help decrease the spread of lice as well. Be vigilant, they are tough and lousy!

Here at school we have bagged or tossed out our pillows and stuffies, asked students not to pile coats on each other, moved lockers, vacuum, and will continue to do head checks.

Thanks to everyone, staff and families who have worked to make their conference and continue to support their child in their learning.  I have been able to attend a few and it is great to hear how your child loves school and making gains.

When we return, hope to see many of you at our virtue assembly to celebrate our students who have showed outstanding cooperation.  Join us on the 29th at 2:30.

In cooperation and thanks,

Joanne Bowers
