“Poetry and Hums aren’t things which you get, they’re things which get you. And all you can do is to go where they can find you.”

This month we begin the study of cooperation for our virtue. Thursday, November 1, at 2:30 we will kick off our newest virtue.
“Cooperation is perhaps one of the least recognized but most valuable of human virtues. It is least recognized because it is not part of an end product, it is to do with the process of achieving something and thus its greatness lies in the fact that it is expressed through ordinary everyday actions.”
“Now to an extent, almost everyone expresses this virtue. Everyone will cooperate in something that they care about. But actually to have this virtue full time means to be constantly extending your hand wherever it is needed. And even if there is nothing visible to be done, the world still needs the support of tranquil minds.”
The celebration of this virtue will be on November 29th at 2:30 pm. We love having families attend to encourage all our students in being virtuous.
This month PTA is sponsoring BINGO night. Pizza and pop are for sale if you wish to eat here or just come join us for some good old-fashioned BINGO. Come join us on November 9th for this fun evening event.
Be sure to check with your child’s teacher to confirm when your conference is in November. After our day off for Veteran’s day on the 12th, we begin early dismissal for conferences. Students will be dismissed an hour and ten minutes early. Please be sure to mark your calendars.
For families that celebrate Halloween, be safe and have fun. Please be sure to monitor the candy intake and of course help your child get to bed at a reasonable hour. We have a full day of school Thursday and Friday and need students alert and ready to learn.
Thanks for a wonderful October.
