We're future-oriented. We are a community of learners who have the best interest
of our students at heart.

We offer a blended kindergarten for students with mild developmental delays.
This classroom is limited to seventeen students and has one teacher and an aide.

eligible students in grades one through five. The inclusion aspect of this

the advanced learning curriculum.
Seattle
School District Advanced Learning Information
Linguistic Remedies
Our teachers use the Linguistic Remedies Program to strengthen students’ reading skills and
identify reading difficulties early. This method helps children understand
reading and writing by teaching the sounds of letters, letter combinations and
words through hearing, seeing and speaking.
All-School Math
Block
Students in first through fifth grades are taught math based on their ability,
not their grade level. In addition to our classroom teachers, we have
three other teachers that take groups for math instruction.
North Beach
Chronicle
Applied learning is at the heart of our instructional programs – students
publish three newspapers and a literary magazine each year. WASL writing scores
increased from 79% of students meeting standards in 2003 to 88.6% in 2004. WASL
reading scores increased from 85.4% in 2003 to 97.1% in 2004. Our math scores
increased from 83.3% in 2003 to 91.4% in 2004. Our students have fun while they
are learning!
