Students as Self-Managers

This program is designed to encourage students to accept responsibility. It helps them develop self-esteem and fosters self-discipline. Here is a more detailed explanation

 

Code of Conduct

To further the goal of every student becoming a self manager these expectation have been published so that all students may learn and understand what is expected of them.

This CODE shall apply equally to all children who attend ML King, and by state law, shall apply from the time they leave for school until they return. Further information is available here.

 

Discipline Policy

In accordance with the state law, any student who disrupts or continually disturbs the educational environment is subject to suspension. In addition students who are physically or verbally aggressive will be suspended. You will find a more complete description of the policy here.

 

Parent and Visitor Conduct

In an effort to provide a safe nurturing environment for all students, the educational community has added a Parent Code of Conduct. This was recommended because the safety of all our children is at stake. We do not want to overlook any possibility that students at ML King could be exposed to language or actions that send a negative message, distract from learning, or leave students with feelings of insecurity.

Uniform dress code

Students must dress in a manner that is appropriate in a learning environment. This includes, but is not limited to, a neat and clean appearance. The uniform will consist of a white top and a navy blue bottom. See the details here.
