MEANY MIDDLE SCHOOL PTSA
The PTSA

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year at Meany Middle School. This year promises to be terrific and it is very exciting to see so many new students to the school. Welcome to all of you!

One of the best and easiest ways to become involved with your child's school is to join the PTSA. At Meany PTSA, our mission is simple: We work to support our school and students so that we can all benefit from a positive and enriching middle school experience. You can also contact us at meanypta@hotmail.com.

MEANY MIDDLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY DINNER FUNDRAISER AT DUKE’S LAKE UNION:

Please join us on Wednesday, March 5th for our second Community Dinner Fundraiser for Meany PTSA at
DUKE’S CHOWDER HOUSE, SOUTH LAKE UNION (901 Fairview Ave North, 382-9963).
Bring your friends, families, and co-workers and enjoy dinner while supporting Meany. Duke has graciously promised to donate 50% of the proceeds directly to the PTSA. This means the more people who turn out, the more we earn for our school. Last fall, our Coastal Kitchen Community Dinner raised almost $1300 for the PTSA. We used that money to fund several school programs; fundraising goes straight to the students! Dinner starts at 5:00 and goes until 11:00 pm. We will also have a raffle for Duke’s gift certificates. Don’t assume some other people will turn out for this event. You are the other people and we need your support! Please contact Meany Middle School PTSA at meanypta@hotmail.com or Chris Hoffer
at 328-9419 if you have any questions. Please join us, we need your support!

How You Can Help at Meany

The best thing you can do is to attend our monthly meetings. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month (except June & December) from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the school library. This is a good opportunity to connect with other parents and become involved at any level to support Meany. Alternatively, you can be part of our email and phone tree, to find out about PTSA activities. Subscribe to email distribution by emailing us your request to meanypta@hotmail.com. If meetings are inconvenient for your schedule we are happy to connect with everyone in any way possible to help keep Meany going strong!

At our meetings, we discuss and coordinate volunteering opportunities. The level of participation you want is up to you. There are many small ways you can help, both inside and outside the classroom setting. Many PTSA volunteering opportunities can be accomplished at any hour, not just school hours.
