Welcome to Maple Elementary!
Dear Visitor,
On behalf of an amazing group of students, wonderful parents and a very dedicated and caring staff, I extend a hearty welcome to you and invite you to visit Maple Elementary School through our website or in person.
We are located geographically and academically at the top of Beacon Hill in Seattle. Before you enter our school, feast your eyes on our panoramic view of the Olympic Mountains to the west, snow capped Mount Rainier to the south and the ribbon of Interstate 5 directly below. When you enter our K-5, newly remodeled, open concept building, you will experience the microcosm of Seattle, represented by the diversity of our population who arrived across the Olympics from our Native rainforests, via the iron railroad tracks stretching as far as the eastern seaboard, landing at SeaTac from Asia, Europe or Africa, crossing our Canadian boarder, driving or walking up the I-5 corridor from as far south as Mexico and South America, all, learning and working together, speaking more than16 different languages, with strong communication and cooperation through the human language that joyfully celebrates the beauty of our diversity.
We all welcome each of you to our success story.
Sincerely,
Pat Hunter, Principal
