| ARRIVAL TIME | Children are NOT to arrive at school before 9:00 a.m. |
| SCHOOL HOURS | Call bell rings at 9:15 a.m. Tardy bell rings at 9:20 a.m. — School Begins Dismissal at 3:30 p.m. |
| ABSENCES | Call absences into the school office at (206) 252-8310. |
| EARLY DISMISSALS | Call the school office at (206) 252-8310 BEFORE 9:15 a.m. or send a note explaining the reason for the early dismissal, the time, and who will be picking up the student. Notify office before 2:00 p.m. if bus rider will not be riding the bus home. |
| CAR/DRIVERS | Do NOT drop off or pick up your child/children in front of the school. Use the Maplewood Park parking lot. |
| EMERGENCY TELEPHONE | Emergency telephone numbers are a MUST. Notify the Office immediately of any changes. |
| MEDICATIONS | ALL medication (including over-the-counter medication) MUST have both physician and parent authorization. The medication must be kept in the school office. |
| PETS | Pets are prohibited from being on school grounds. |
| BIKES | The Seattle School District will not be held responsibile for bicycles brought to school. Students should wear a bicycle helmet and lock the bicycle. The lock combination should be left at the office. |
| LOST & FOUND | Mark child's name on all lunch boxes, articles of clothing, and other personal items which are brought to school. The Lost and Found is located in the office. |
| PLAY THINGS | Playthings should NOT be brought to school except when requested by the teacher. Balls are allowed for recess purposes, but must be marked with the child's name. The Seattle School District will not be held responsible for lost items. |
| TOY WEAPONS | Children must NOT bring anything that looks like a weapon to school such as a water gun or pocketknife. Immediate emergency expulsion will occur. |
| ICE & SNOW | Do not call the school. Listen to your radio or television for closure or changes in school hours for "Seattle School District #1" due to ice and snow conditions. |
| FIRE & EARTHQUAKE | In the event of a disaster, parents are requested NOT to phone the school. Parents should go to the place adjacent to the school grounds to meet their children. |
| DRESS CODE | Shorts should be no shorter than mid-thigh. Spaghetti-strap tops are not allowed. |
| ROLLER/SKATE SHOES | Roller/skate shoes are NOT allowed at school. |
