Room Parents

"Loyal Heights Room Parents are the very core of our volunteers.  They are a team of Mothers and Fathers that provide loving care for our children and teachers.  Room Parents are organizers, recruiters, party planners, cooks, crafters, and a lot more.  Here is a basic list of Room Parents duties:

   1.  Coordinate classroom's parents.  Create a classroom roster with names, addresses and email addresses. Flag and special food allergies or special needs.

   2.  Assist teacher in planning Class parties & events.  This includes getting all the parent volunteers needed, as well as any food, supplies and activities.  This will involve soliciting money and/or supply donations from families.

   3.  Science Kits.  Pre & Post inventory of Science Kits for classroom.  Work to be done 3 times per year,  2 1/2 months apart.

   4.  Organize classroom participation in PTA sponsored activities.

                ~ Auction
                ~ Staff Appreciation

   5.  Tracking Room PTA Fund money and reimbursements.

Our Room Parents do so much for our school and children.  Please be supportive of them.  If you are currently or have been a Room Parent.....Thank you for all your hard work and volunteering efforts!  If not, please consider being a Room Parent for your child's classroom.  It's a wonderful way to model responsibility, generosity, volunteerism, and compassion."
