As this school year goes flying by in a blur, please slow down and take care of yourself and your family. Beginning with proper diet, exercise and rest your body will be better equipped to ward off illnesses. The flu season is alive and well and making many Beavers feel not-so-well. Flu is an infection of the nose, throat and lungs that is caused by influenza virus. Some parents are noting that for their students it started off with mild common cold like symptoms but within a few hours temperatures over 100 degrees materialize. Other symptoms such as cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue may accompany the fever or show up in combinations.
