Volunteering is a Great Way to Connect
Offering your support through time, talent, and other means is a great way to help the school and your child - and a chance to meet other parents. Here are some ways to learn about volunteer oportunties:
- Attend the Welcome Coffee Hour on the first day of school.
- Look at the list of PTA committees and contact committee chairs about helping out on committees that look interesting to you.
- Watch for information about volunteer opportunities in the PTA Notes.
- Contact your child's assigned room parents or this year's Room Parent Coordinator, Judy Varlamos.
- Talk to your child's teacher about helping in the classroom.
- Talk to PTA Co-Presidents, Stephanie Neffner and Marcy Brighton.
- Look for information in the Weekly Bear News and E-mails from room parents
