Membership in the Laurelhurst PTA is $12 per parent, guardian or teacher. Enrollment information is provided in the First Day Packet and is also available outside the school office. Membership questions? Contact Jody Cain.

As a member of the Laurelhurst PTA, you join a community that encourages student achievement and helps enrich the learning environment. We believe in building partnerships between our families and our school. If you have not joined, we would like to encourage you to become a member. Some reasons to join:
Academic Improvement
The PTA allows you to be involved in your child's education. Every study ever conducted on the relationship between student performance and parent involvement shows that when parents are involved in education, student academic performance improves.
Direct Impact
Your membership in PTA has a direct impact on our children and the quality of our school. PTA has the ability to make a school a better place for children to learn. Our own PTA can address the needs of our school.
Program Enhancements
Because of strong support of and mebership in the Laurelhurst PTA, many program are made possible to our students, including Sound Partners tutoring, music offerings, staff appreciate efforts, and recycling/composting programs. When you join the PTA you also have access to great resources provided by the Washington State and National PTA. You'll find informatioin on parenting, on helping students with homework, on preparing for parent-teacher conferences, and a variety of other topics related to children and youth.
