The
ALTERNATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE (ALE)1 class "on-site" model available
at the Homeschool Resource Center is intended to serve families who
want to be personally responsible for their child's education while
having the resources of the school district available to assist them.
The program at the HRC is not intended to be an "alternative school"
or "day-care" where parents can send their children. Families who have
not had success with traditional educational programs may find this
to be an option that will serve them.
**Students
participating in the ALE at the Seattle Homeschool Resource Center must
be enrolled in the Seattle School District and must have been declared
a home-based instruction student for a minimum of 90 days as defined
in RCW 28A.225.010(4), immediately prior to enrolling in the program.
