Our History

In the Lunch Room

Here are the expectations that help us all to enjoy lunch:

Ø     We keep our place in line, and keep our hands to ourselves.

Ø     We take only what we will eat during lunch.

Ø     We walk in the lunch room, with no exception.

Ø     We speak in a normal tone of voice.

Ø     We follow the directions of staff members.

Ø     We clean up our space before we are dismissed.  This means we pick up all trash from the floor and table, and wipe the table under our trays.  The whole table will be dismissed at the same time, but only when the entire table space is clean.

Ø     We stay seated until we are excused.

Ø     We throw our trash in the garbage cans and stack our trays neatly.  If there is a problem, for example, a spill or a tray avalanche, we help or we get help.

Ø     We walk from the lunch room and walk to the doors leading to the playground, and walk onto the playground.

Ø     We do not throw food, under any circumstances.

Ø     We make good choices, solve our problems, and show respect.

We have the same basic expectations for breakfast, with a few exceptions:

Ø     Students must eat breakfast before going to play outside.

Ø     Students can choose their own seats.

Individual students may be excused when they (and their spaces) are ready.
