Dear Kindergarten Families:

Welcome to the Highland Park School Community! We are thrilled that your child will be joining us for kindergarten.

We have two opportunities that we want to invite you to participate in that will facilitate your child’s smooth transition into kindergarten next year. During the week of August 24^th-28^th, we will be hosting a Jumpstart Kindergarten Program for all enrolled kindergartners at Highland Park. This program will be daily for five days from 9: AM to 12:PM. Lunch and breakfast will be included and bus service will be available. During the three hour session, your child will learn about the routines and early academic expectations of kindergarten. This often greatly facilitates the transition that occurs on the fall. This program is voluntary and free of charge to all interested kindergarten students.

If you are interested in attending, please send the notice attached back to the school at the address listed at the bottom of this letter marked attention: Ann Gray or drop it off at the school office by August 1^st.

On September 2^nd at 5:30-6:30 we will be hosting a general kindergarten orientation here at the school. This will be a general overview of kindergarten expectations and an opportunity for your child to meet their teacher!
